Short Bio
Chan is a Senior Researcher at the Chair of Strategic Management and Innovation of ETH Zurich. His research focuses on strategic decision making and innovation, taking a behavioral perspective. In particular, his research focuses on microfoundations (cognition, motivation, affect, and team processes) in strategic problem formulation and knowledge transfer. Prior to joining academia, Chan worked as a consultant in China, with clients in agriculture, health, and automotive industries. Chan is fluent in Korean, English, and Chinese. His research relies on field experiments based on managerial samples (board directors, CEOs, founders) and lab experiments.
